Here’s How Twitter Reacted to the ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Premiere

Game of Thrones season seven premiered last night, and let’s just say it exceeded our expectations. The season started with a bang; there was bloody revenge, rightful returns and even a tenuous peace deal.

After the premiere, the show only has six episodes left in this season, so clearing GoT isn’t wasting any time. While Twitter had something to say about every scene, the following moments essentially blew up our timelines.

Warning: Season seven spoilers below.

Season seven started off in true GoT fashion, with a lot of deaths. Disguised as Walder Frey, Arya Stark poisoned the entire house of Frey in bloody revenge. The scene finishes with the Stark sister saying the already iconic line: “tell them the North remembers, tell them winter came for house of Frey.”

While not everyone loved Ed Sheeran’s cameo on Game of Thrones, everyone was talking about it. The singer-songwriter appeared as a Lannister soldier performing a song for Arya, who incidentally informs him that she’s on her way to King’s Landing to kill Cersei.

The moment that we’ve been waiting for finally happened, and it did not disappoint. The premiere’s final scene showed the long-awaited moment when Dany got to return home and claim her birthright. The scene was epic, with no dialogue and just sweeping shots of the Dragonstone castle. Safe to say, fans got pretty emotional.

If you still haven’t watched the season seven premiere, here’s a full Game of Thrones season six recap to get you up to date.
